Kemptville College Presentation
Posted 15-Jan-2008, 9:16AM

We have the pleasure of being invited to speak to the equestrian management class at Kemptville College, a campus of the University of Guelph, on February 5th. Kemptville College is renowned for being a leading institution in agriculture studies. We will be demonstrating Rendaivu and it's many uses for professional equine management. Students will be using Rendaivu as a part of their course.

In other news, we want to thank everyone for sharing their great ideas with us. The list of ideas is long, but that isn't stopping us from working hard to bring more features that everyone will enjoy.

Updates to the Lesson Schedule
Posted 19-Nov-2007, 7:27AM

Yesterday we upgraded the lesson schedule to include a few new features and fixes. Next time you manage your lessons, you'll notice a few things are different:

- The lessons are no longer listed in a dropdown menu, but instead in a regular calendar format. This will make it easier to see everything that's happening on a per-day and per-month basis.
- Each lesson entry has the regular Edit, Edit Riders, and Delete options, but also a new 'Cancel' option. The Cancel feature allows you to cancel a lesson without removing it from your lesson history.
- When you delete a repeating lesson, you are given the choice to either delete that individual lesson, or delete all the lessons within that repeating group. It doesn't automatically delete the entire group of lessons anymore.

We would also like to thank everyone who visited us at the Royal in Toronto. We received wonderful feedback and it was great to meet many of our users. Thanks!

Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto, ON
Posted 17-Oct-2007, 11:09AM

Hi Everyone,

Those of us behind the scenes at Rendaivu will be attending the Royal Fair in Toronto, the biggest agricultural fair in Canada. We will have a booth setup to demonstrate what Rendaivu is all about it, and how it's helping the equestrian community.

So if you plan to attend to the Royal this year, be sure to stop by and check us out. We'd love to meet you and talk about what you love and don't love about Rendaivu!

See you there,
The Rendaivu Team

Horse Ownership Transfers
Posted 25-Aug-2007, 10:05PM

We are very happy to announce a new feature that many of you will find useful if you sell horses, train, or lease/use other people's horses. You can now transfer complete ownership of a horse -- the profile and all records -- to another Rendaivu user. The process is simple, and to get started simply choose the horse and click 'Transfer Ownership' and follow the instructions.

To give you a glimpse of where Rendaivu is headed in the coming months, we have some cool things like cellphone reminders (via text messaging) for scheduled events, easier data entry for bulk entry of records, and a new document library filled with sample waivers, agreements, etc.. As always, stay tuned and you won't be disappointed!

More features for you!
Posted 24-Jun-2007, 5:46PM

As some of you might have already noticed, a few new things in Rendaivu have popped up. We have created an Events calendar for organizations to schedule any kind of event (show, clinic, etc.), and riders can signup to these events.

We have also extended the Horse Profile to collect more information. You can now record passport information, purchase history, and more. You can also set a status for the horse, such as if the horse is in training, injured, or whatever you like.

Finally we have combined all the Organization schedules into a single calendar so you can quickly view all activities in a given month.

As always, stay tuned for more great stuff.

New Features
Posted 07-May-2007, 10:28AM

Hello folks, as promised we've rolled out a couple new features.

Detailed Reports
All horse, income, and expenses reports now have two modes: Summary and Detailed. In Detailed mode, the report will list all the records between the date range.

Income & Expenses for Organizations
Organizations can now record their income and expenses in a variety of categories. Administrators will find a new section called 'Finances' in the dropdown menu.

Enjoy!

A Milestone
Posted 11-Mar-2007, 5:43PM

Today we are very happy to announce a milestone feature in Rendaivu. Following many suggestions from the community, we have moved forward with a permission system for horses. We received many requests to be able to manage another Rendaivu user's horse's, and this is now possible.

To access this new feature, you will notice a new section called Permissions when you select a horse. After you've searched for and selected a Rendaivu user, you can choose what level of access they have over your horse: Viewable, Editable, or Blocked. So, for example, you can have your trainer be able to add training records, but not be able to view your reproduction records.

When someone has granted you privileges over their horse, the horse will be displayed in the My Horses section under Horses I Can Manage. You can view their profile and records the same way you do with your own horses.

Additionally, we have also given organization administrators the ability to sign up all organization horses for events. This means, as an administrator, you can register all the horses in your stable for the farrier at once.

Any feedback on the new features would be greatly appreciated. Stop by the forums and let us know what you think!

More Updates
Posted 17-Feb-2007, 4:11PM

We have made a couple updates recently as you might have noticed.

Visual Tours
Gone is the "read how it works" tour we had before. In its place are three videos that demonstrate what Rendaivu does, how it helps, and why you should be using it. They are currently available in QuickTime and Windows Media Player formats. We trust you will find them very useful.

Multiple Horse Signups
If you own multiple horses in an organization, you can now sign them up at once to the Dentistry, Farrier, and Vet schedules.

My Calendar
There was an issue where the calendar was only showing one horse per activity (such as only one horse due for worming), but this has since been fixed and now shows all daily activities.

As a final note, we have begun on the task of allowing other Rendaivu users to manage your horses. We will notify everyone when this feature becomes available.

Features for the New Year
Posted 07-Jan-2007, 3:26PM

As promised, we have introduced two new features that work together to simplify data entry for multiple horses.

Multiple-Horse Entry
When entering new records, you now have the choice to create the record for multiple horses. For example, when you have five horses that were dewormed on the same date, you do not have to create a separate entry for each horse -- you only have to do it once.

Clone Records
To make things even better, you can now "clone" records to a different date. You can select multiple records, specify a new date, and Rendaivu will copy those records to the new date.

Income Records
Additionally, you can now record income in five different categories: Clinics & Lessons, Horse Sales, Miscellaneous, Trailering, and Training. Of course, you can do reports on all these different types of income.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Even More Features!
Posted 12-Nov-2006, 9:55PM

Personal Calendar
A new personal calendar has been launched. You can find it in the "my account" section and use it to view all upcoming due dates for your horses, any scheduled events such as a lesson or appointment as well it has an area to add personal dates such as shows or clinics!

Horse Pedigrees
For each of your horses you can now enter in your horse's pedigree!

Full Backups for Organizations
Organization's are now able to save all their data -- schedules, invoices, and everything needed to keep personal backups.

Due Date Email Notifications
All Health records now collect a 'Next Due Date'. You will be notified by email one week prior to the due date. This will be very helpful for reminding you about upcoming events.

Feed Inventory & Auto Deductions
For the stable owners, your feed inventory can now be completely managed by Rendaivu. All you have to do is edit your Feed Option details to enter in total weight per option, scoop weight, and cost. You can also keep track of Feed Purchases and manually update the feed inventory. Feed inventory is automatically deducted at midnight based on how much your horses are consuming. Finally, you can create a detailed report on feed consumption and cost (daily, monthly, and yearly) to learn exactly how much you're spending and how much horse's are consuming.

Now here's a glimpse of what we have cooking....

Easier Data Entry
We know that entering in data can be time-consuming so we're working towards a bulk-entry feature to help make your work a whole lot easier.

In the meantime, enjoy the new features, and we'll keep everyone informed when more features are ready. Have fun!

New Features!
Posted 28-Oct-2006, 4:58PM

We would like to extend our appreciation to those who have taken the time to register, use, and provide feedback on Rendaivu. We have taken your suggestions into consideration and are proud to announce several new features available to all members.

My Expenses
The next time you login you will notice a new section called "My Expenses." Here you can record all your personal expenses, including Boarding, Feed, Tack, and more. Be sure to check it out.

Create & Print Detailed Reports
You can now create reports on your horses and expenses. You can report on all your expenses (personal, horse, or both), or drill-down and learn more about how much you spent on Tack within a certain period of time.

We hope you enjoy the new set of features.

Regards,
The Rendaivu Team
